Would you or wouldn't you?

I'm curious and I'd love to hear from y'all!

Would you ever consider a natural childbirth? Why or why not? If you have experienced a natural child birth, would you please share your story?

Thanks!!

  1. Yes! The thought of my lower body being paralyzed creeps me out! Also, I have heard horror stories of people having seizures during childbirth from misplaced epidurals...so my plan when I have kids is for natural childbirth, I think what you are doing is so awesome! You are going to be a blessing to so many women!

  2. Kristi,
That's super exciting that you're into natural childbirth! You guys are going to LOVE New Mexico... Only a 19% C-Section rate and more than 25% of deliveries are done by midwives!! :-)
Can't wait to see you guys when you get here!

  3. Well if I had my way I would but, because of my defective heart and all that goes with it I dont know if I see that happening, sadly. I see the OBGYN on March 1st and will ask about what my options would be. Not many young people have pacemakers so from what I have learned from a PM support site most doctors like the schedule birth because they dont know any better. I would like to let mother nature take it course and let my child come when he/she is ready to make its grand introduction.

  5. I hate to go against the grain, but I was induced and had an epidural. I had a WONDERFUL birth experience with a fabulous Dr. I was pain-free and completely in control of what I needed to do to bring Aubrey into this world. If I had to do it all over again I would. I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone...even with a pain-free delivery I am still a woman.

  6. Kendra,
I'm so glad that you had a wonderful birth experience! I just like to get people talking/thinking about their options... Just for fun and for conversation sake, considering this is my latest passion in life... :-)
Aubrey is a gem and I admire any woman that has a baby at all!
BTW- Could she be ANY cuter?! ;-)

  7. Im gonna try to go natural, and not because I think an epidural is bad for the baby, because i dont, but because I really dont want to have to pay more to have this baby. Plus its just something i've always wanted to experience, im really looking forward to it. Talk to me in early july however! Nat Mommy to be 7/1/10
